Market intelligence
We built our own instruments because nothing on the market told us what we needed to know.
They exist because a broker needed them. A broker who built instruments and will show you what they see.
Inside the market
- We watch the Baltic continuously.
Vessel movements from several independent feeds, port calls, arrivals and departures.
- We know where the tonnage is and when it comes open.
Open positions assembled continuously from the market's own traffic, by segment.
- We price a voyage properly, not roughly.
The freight per tonne a voyage must earn to hit a target return, from real distance, the ship's own consumption, bunker prices and port costs at both ends.
- We measure congestion instead of guessing at it.
Daily anchorage congestion for Baltic anchorages, with a trend and a baseline.
- We follow a fixture after it fixes.
Voyage events against the recap, laytime read from the statement of facts, demurrage exposure before it becomes a claim.
Illustrative figures
- 1,184vessel movements logged today
- 30+open positions, next 14 days
- USD 18.40per tonne, required freight
- 2.3days anchorage wait, against a 1.1-day baseline
- USD 40,000+demurrage exposure flagged
What they are for
These instruments inform our judgement. They do not replace it.
They show where the tonnage is, how the market is moving and what a voyage has to earn, so that every enquiry and every piece of advice starts from the market rather than from a guess.
We built them ourselves, so they adapt. If a client needs a view we do not yet have, we add it.
From market view to advice
- 01
We read the market
Movements, open positions and congestion show what is realistically available, and when.
- 02
We test it against your case
Your cargo, ports, dates and volumes go through the same voyage economics we use when we broker.
- 03
We say what it means
A recommendation you can act on: which offer, which route or which vessel, and why.
The number comes from direct owner conversations, not a database.
The instruments narrow the field. The figure we put in front of you is confirmed with owners and operators in the market, and we tell you what it rests on.
